Below are some of the most common questions we receive from clients.

I’m a total beginner who has never done Pilates, Gyrotonic® or Gyrokinesis®. Will I be able to take a group class or private/trio session?

Absolutely. We cater to beginners and our instructors help you through your sessions. The studio is an excellent, supportive place to start.

What is the difference between Pilates and Gyrotonic® and which is right for me?

Pilates is a linear form of exercise, focusing on core strength and toning. Gyrotonic® also tones and strengthens, but works three dimensionally using flowing motions. Gyrotonic helps restore flexibility as well as offers considerable rehabilitative benefits and renewed movement in the joints and spine. Both exercise modalities product great results and some clients alternate sessions between the two. We can help you decide what meets your goals the best.

What is your class schedule/what are the studio’s hours?

With the exception of group classes, the studio does not have set hours. Rather, individual and semi-private (2 or 3 more people) sessions are scheduled around you and your instructor’s availability. Group Pilates Mat classes are help on Thursdays from 7-8pm and Saturdays 10-11am. 

Do I need to reserve a space for mat class?

Walk-ins are totally welcome to class. We always appreciate it if someone calls ahead to let us know they’ll be attending a mat class, but you are definitely welcome to drop in and take a class.

What should I wear to class?

You can wear comfortable workout clothes and typical gym attire such as sweats, workout pants, tank tops, t-shirts, shorts etc. All sessions and classes are done in socks or barefoot, whichever you prefer, and shoes are removed beyond the studio’s front waiting area.

What is your cancellation/refund/transfer policy?

Cancellations must be done by phone (either to the studio or to your specific instructor) as least 24 hours in advance. If you cancel your session with less than 24 hours notice or if you miss it entirely, we have to charge you in full for the session.

Private and Semi-private session class cards are available for purchase in 5 or 10 class packages. All class card packages are non-transferable and non-refundable. Private and Semi-Private class card packages expire 4 months from date of purchase. Group class cards expire 6 months from the date of purchase. Any unused sessions cannot be redeemed once the card has expired. The Studio reserves the right to change the group class schedule.
